Dwaddling

An exercise in geeking.

Mainly a Science Fiction appreciation blog, expect to see a range of shows including, but not limited to; Doctor Who, Babylon 5, StarGate, Sanctuary, and Star Trek. I am also a wee bit of an Anglophile, so expect to see some of that cropping up in this blog.

Some shows that I enjoy: The aformaentioned Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary, Star Trek (TOS, TNG, bis of VOY, and starting DS9), as well as Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, 30 Rock, Top Gear, The Fast Show, OutNumbered, SOAP, Scarlet Pimpernel, Whose Line is it Anyway, Daily Show, and some countless others.

For as much as I enjoy Science Fiction, I hardly ever actually read it, so my book titles are more geared toward the fantasy genre, with some historical fiction love. My favourite book at the moment? Pillars of the Earth. Phillip will rule all.

I am also quite the video game nerd, favouring the Playstation 3 over all consouls (Kevin Butler is my VP) and a range of titles including the entirety of the Assassin's Creed series, Dragon Age: Origins, Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy XIII, MAG, InFamous, Eternal Sonata, and Uncharted 1 & 2.

A small side note: I'm married to Rex Harrison.

I was playing the Noveria mission and Kaidan’s lift and throw power were almost at their peak.

And I was finishing off a geth trooper when suddenly three tables came flying out of no where.

Yes, the geth trooper died but the tables were blocking the entrance to my destination…

I’m just glad I can look at Coulson things on my dash and not cry.

Clark Gregg as Agent (Acting Principal) Phil Coulson in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN (2012-2013):  One of my favourite episodes, perhaps my favourite episode of the series overall, because it was everything Coulson…

Fun fact: Cheetahs only attack prey that runs

jesus that is good to know.

Yup, that’s the point you just stay still and let it do whatever the fuck it wants that doesn’t involved you getting eaten.

REALLY FUN FACT for big cats cheetahs are fucking docile as shit

my grandfather ran a cheetah sanctuary in south africa and he’d just lie with them and sleep among them and they’d rub against him and chirp at him they’re big fucking babies

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs.

So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying.

So what’d they do?
They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs!

The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!

AJHHHHFDDGHH SO PRECIOUS

this post just got so much better

THIS IS OFFICIALLY MY FAVOURITE POST

This is awesome, I never knew any of that about cheetahs
